Kittiwake Dance Theatre is very excited to once again offer a two-week Summer Dance Intensive from August 23 to September 3, 2021. We are welcoming dancers ages 12 and up who have strong dance training, preferably in ballet or contemporary ballet, to continue their training this summer through this innovative program.
In addition to ballet and contemporary classes, we are adding some culturally diverse classes to expose dancers to new genres. There will be fun, introductory classes in Indigenous dance and Highland dance and as well, we’ll have musical accompaniment for many classes.

August 23 to September 3 for dancers ages 12+ (as of September 30, 2021)
There will be two concurrent groups in the two-week session, running Monday to Friday each week from 9 AM to 4 PM. Dancers will be assigned their group on the first day and a detailed daily schedule will be provided at that time.

The two-week program is $700. The non-refundable fee is due at the time of registration.

Please include Dancer’s Full Name in the e-transfer notes and for the password use the first three letters of the dancer’s surname followed by ‘2021’.
Dancers’ and instructors’ safety and compliance with public health directives are top priorities for us. We will monitor the provincial government’s Covid-19 Alert level system and adjust plans, if necessary. Notification of changes will be made via email (to those registered) and on this webpage, as appropriate.
If a session or sessions are not able to proceed, payments will be refunded. If the sessions proceed and a dancer cancels registration due to an extenuating circumstance, a partial refund may be considered. Requests must be supported with appropriate documentation and are subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
