Kittiwake is very happy to work with our friends at Neighbourhood Dance Works once again and to be invited to perform during the 31st annual Festival of New Dance. Our performance is on opening night, September 30, in a special “ballet evening”, which also features performances by Ballet Kelowna. Join us as dancers bring two of our recently-premiered pieces back to the stage: Hannah Drover’s Cara Alida an emotional, evocative work that addresses grief and is devoted to all those we have loved and lost; and Martin Vallée’s Night Run, a Tango inspired work.
The performances are followed by a moderated discussion about ballet with Simone Orlando, Artistic Director of Ballet Kelowna and our Artistic Director, Martin Vallée, led by James Kudelka, former Artistic Director of the National Ballet of Canada.
