Fall Workshop Series 2024

The Arts and Culture Centres presentation and residency program is partnering with Kittiwake Dance Theatre for a unique ballet workshop series this fall. The series includes four hours of ballet workshops weekly from October 18 to December 6. Facilitated by Galien Johnston Hattori, these workshops are designed to supplement a dancer’s regular training at their registered studio. Galien will teach advance barre, pointe, variations and repertoire.

Participation in these is limited and dancers will be selected by audition. Dancers must have ballet training and must be age 12 + by December 31. Auditions will be held during the first two workshops on October 18 from 4 to 6 pm and October 19 from 9 to 11 am at Dancespace, 3rd floor of the John Perlin Arts and Culture Centre, St. John’s. Dancers must attend both and those selected from this process to continue with the workshop series will be advised at the end of these sessions. They will be asked to register then with the Arts and Culture Centre for the remaining sessions. A url will be provided. Those selected from the audition are expected to attend all four hours each week: Fridays 4 to 6 PM and Saturdays 9 to 11 AM.

Through this partnership, there is no fee to participants and is part of ACCs commitment to develop the professional sector through the Dance Space at the John Perlin Arts and Culture Centre.

To register for an audition, please fill out the form here.
